The next generationof Raycast is here

• Raycast v2 is built for macOS Tahoe. If you are still on Sequoia or earlier, you need to upgrade macOS before installing v2 during the beta, though we may expand support to Sequoia later.
• To ensure a seamless onboarding experience, please install the latest version of Raycast v1, or at least v1.104.16.

There are still some features that are not yet available in the beta. We are still working on these so they will come soon.

Your feedback is critical for us in this phase of development. Please use the Send Feedback command in Raycast.

If possible, please also share your logs with us to help debug issues. You can copy your latest ones using Copy Raycast Logs, or Reveal Raycast Logs will open your log folder.

During onboarding, you’ll be prompted to import or migrate your data from Raycast v1.

If you skip this step or want to rerun it, you can do it manually using one of the following commands:

• Migrate from Raycast v1 — automatically migrates your data from v1. Importing settings at this step will also import and migrate all of your shortcuts to Raycast v2 and disable them from working in Raycast v1. This ensures that your hotkeys don’t conflict. This is the recommended approach because there is some extra data that is not imported with the manual import. This includes Clipboard History, Wrapped and Emoji picker.
• Import Settings and Data — a manual import from your .rayconfig file that you must export from Raycast v1.

For custom extensions to import correctly, you need to be on the latest version of Raycast V1, or at least v1.104.16.

If these did not automatically import, you can do it manually by running npx @raycast/api@latest dev and the dev command should be clever enough to pick up the beta version if it’s running.
